HRG Article Manager
End to end product UX. Internal content tool.
Publishing an article at HR Grapevine meant scattered steps in several places. I designed one tool to take an article from a blank page to a breakdown of who read it.
Completed product design. Internal tool
The brief
The brief brought article creation, tagging, scheduling and readership into one internal product.
Each article carries a lot of information, from its topics and image variants to its approval status and readership. The design had to keep that manageable at every step.

Guide the article through the right steps.
The creation flow starts with the article type, division and author, then moves on to topics, images and related content. The topic picker uses the site's taxonomy, and the image step asks for each variant an article needs: cover, story, social, newsletter and thumbnail.
Each requirement shows up at the step where it's needed.
Make the article list useful at a glance.
Each row shows whether an article needs attention, needs approval or is ready. Division and premium labels add context. Inline editing and a quick look at the numbers mean fewer articles need opening.
Connect the writing with the readership.
The article overview brings metadata, activity, scheduling and readership together. The readership dashboard breaks the audience down by function, company size, seniority, industry, country and gender, with hot topics and popular keywords ranked alongside and a choice of time range.
The aim was for the teams to see an article's audience in the same place they manage the article.
Where it stands
The completed design covers the article workflow, list, overview and readership dashboard. It's an internal tool, so there is no public URL.
